Sony developed and released GPS-CS1 in 2006. This is a small GPS device designed to help you remember places where you took pictures. If you travel to many places, this device will be great tool to have as it helps remember and mark them on Google Earth via its software. However, this model was only compatible with selected Sony digital cameras. Two month ago, Sony released an upgrade version called the GPS-CS1KA in Korea. The CS1KA is compatible with all digital camera brands. However, at around US$110 in Korea, the device is price too high for it to become a popular item.

Now, a small Korean company called CUUB has developed a similar type of GPS device with an easy-to-use interface and affordable price. It costs half as much as the CS1KA and has everything you need.

Called the Location Plus A1, this device is carried along with your digital camera. Once switched on, you can start taking picture whenever, wherever you want. Don't forget to check the clock on your digital camera before starting to take a picture as this device requires actual times to match and sync global positioning data to each pictures that you've taken.

I haven't tried this device yet but I am willing to spend US$50 to have great memories and usage of its features. It should be good device to have before I leave for a overseas vacation or business trip.

Let's see if this company can export the product to overseas markets in the near future.
